About the Long Branch Neighbourhood Association

Long Branch is a lakeside community in the southest corner of the City of Toronto with a long history as a place to enjoy the natural environment which includes a mature tree canopy made up of over 200 species boardered by conservation areas, parks, the Etobicoke Creek, a vibrant waterfront destination for migrating birds, and a home to many mammals that are notseen in other parts of the city. Long Branch has a uniquely preserved character in its residential properties, meandering streets, and active community membership.

The Long Branch Neighbourhood Association (LBNA) was formed to celebrate and enhance the neighbourhood of the Village of Long Branch

Some of our goals are to:

Grow and Protect our urban forest,
Celebrate the neighbourhood and its heritage through events and community gatherings,
Enhance the public realm and the quality of life of the neighbourhood and broader community.
How we have worked to accomplish those goals in Long Branch is to:

To support and promote good land use planning with the provincial and municipal governments that serve to reinforce the characteristics and the intent of the official plan.
To promote activities that enhance our environmental and economic viability.
To celebrate our identity and history through community events and the recognition of its residents.
Communicate changes, and help influence those changes, at the provincial and municipal government to our members.
In our short history, we have managed to achieve a lot. Click on the green boxes below to learn more about what we have achieved together in our short history as the LBNA.
