Planning Applications are saved on the City’s Application Information Centre (AIC) Site
- The AIC site tracks applications from submission of application, through the COA Public Hearing process and the TLAB Appeal process, if required.

The Long Branch Neighbourhood Character Guidelines were developed through a process of public consultation and were unanimously approved by City Council in 2018
Areas of the city that are designated for intensification have a Sight and Area Specific Plan (SASP). Section 22 and 23 of the SASP specifically deal with areas in Long Branch.
The Official Plan is reviewed every five years. Amendments to the Plan must be approved by City Council and receive approval by the Minister of Municipal Affairs.

- The Toronto Local Appeal Body hears all new appeals for consent and minor variances. The first one for Long Branch was heard in December 2018 for 38 Thirty Sixth Street.
